Born on June 20, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Coleman and Sally Barnwell Sorrells. She did clerical work for Biltmore Dairy and attended Reed Memorial Baptist Church. She is survived by a nephew, Granville Sorrells and his wife, Janice, of Morganton. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Woodlawn Cemetery.
