We are searching for origins of her Scott family and how we share turkish, and irish-scottish dna. Our line stops at one Ella Scott who married and had children with James Scott. They both died on Texas, Ella unknown date but Ella was born possibly in May of 1863. Nothing else is known on our end and we only had (maybe still have) a picture of Ella. If you have names and dates that would help. Our only point of reference is Eatonton, Putnam county, GA. We have found a listing from one of Ella's sons and an older daughter that her name was Ella Berdie or Birdie. What I've read about the Jasper County, Putnam county Georgia area is a Burney/Varney/Birdie/Berdie family but those descriptions and first names in the census do not resemble her. She once listed herself as born May 1863. My grandmother (Debra's mother) had a picture of her but that picture had no origin name or anything on it. Rumor was that like the picture she was olive skinned, large brown eyes, long brunette hair and tiny waist. If she was even from Georgia none of that is known. Genetically speaking my side is convinced Ella was full caucasian and my grandmother admitted as much before she died. I even found her grave and apparently she was very loved. Ella S.
