- Early Wesley Sorrells
Forever in our hearts and celebrating the life of Early Wesley Sorrells, age 82, born January 1, 1933; joined our Heavenly Father June 9, 2015 in Houston, Texas. A Proud Patriot and Honored Medal Decorated Korean Wartime Veteran of the United States Air Force and Army, Distinguished, Charismatic, World Traveler Carnie full of pranks, humor, passion for life, and devoted love for family and friends. A true “Modern Day Robin Hood.” Predeceased by Charles and Susan Sorrells of Albertville, Alabama; five brothers, LeRoy, Roscoe, John Henry, Charles, and Emmett; three sisters, Lucy, Dixie, and Mini Pearl. Survived by his lifelong soulmate and former wife Helen; devoted and loving father to Michelle and Susie; grandfather to Wesley Scott, Sydnie Michelle, Michael Austin, Ciarra Page, and Christian Wesley; ten great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces; other family members; and friends. There will be a Memorial Service for Early Wesley Sorrells on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Houston National Cemetery at 2:15 in the afternoon. The family would greatly appreciate if those in attendance would dress in patriotic colors in tribute to Early’s service in the armed forces. Those wishing to send flowers are welcome, or memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Sorrells’ memory to V. F.W. Houston Honor Guard VFW Post 8905, P.O.
