Maupin Mary Jean (Finchum) Maupin, 74, of Martinsville, died from natural causes March 15, 1999, at Morgan County Memorial Hospital. The homemaker was a member of the Mars Hill Bible Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Charles V. Maupin; her children, Pat Marshman, William Robert Hayes Jr, John William Fitch-Hayes, Norman Eric Hayes, Alexander Christopher Hayes, Victoria Jean Hayes-King, Susan Francine Hayes-Smith; stepchildren, Sandra Sue Clashorn Maupin, Charles William Maupin and Roberta Jo Maupin Riddhagui; one brother, Willis Arnold Finshum Jr.; one sister, Frances Louise Finchum Barnett; 36 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. The service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Flanner & Buchanan Decatur Township Mortuary. Burial is pending. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.
