  In 6/1/1900 census ,Mary C was separated from her husband and she and her two children are living with her parents in Polk County,Tennessee.On 1/15/1903 Mary C. marries Richard Sherman Dean in Polk County. In 1910 Mary and Richard are living in McMinn County and by1930 they have moved to Champaign County,Illionis. Richard dies there in 1917 and Mary nevers remarries.She is found in the 1940 Champaign census working for IBM and living in the home of her son Joseph Dean.
