  Charles Allison Hodges Birth: Aug. 15, 1856 Death: May 14, 1926 Charles "Charlie" Allison Hodges is the son of William Alexander Hodges and Mary Ann Nanney. Charlie was born in Ratliff, Itawamba County, Mississippi on Aug. 15, 1856. He married Julia Ann Raper on Nov. 18, 1877 in Lee County, Mississippi. They had nine children: Charles Marcellus, Mary Viola, Theodoshia, Willis Howard, Audie Grover, James Marvin, William Ivy (my grandfather), Louie Myrtle, and Luvada. Julia Ann got sick with pneumonia and passed away on Jun. 16, 1900. Charlie married Julia Ann's first cousin once removed Mattie Jane Malone in Nov. 1901 in Mississippi. They had five children: Mittie, Griffie, Steve Ellision, Columbus Ira, and Leonard Carol. Charlie passed away on the 14th of May, 1926 in Baldwyn, Mississippi.
