Hattie Belle Brooks, 87
HULEN - Hattie Belle Brooks, 87, passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, at Pineville Community Hospital.
She was born March 11, 1918, at Ralston, Ky., a daughter of the late Lincoln and Mary Jane White Ingle. She had been a member of Blackmont Baptist Church for over 50 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Campbell Brooks; daughters, Betty Lee Brooks, Ina Lee Brooks Stewart; and a sister, Helen Hoskins.
Survivors include her nine children, Robert Charles Brooks, Hammensville, Ohio, Billy Joe (Glenda) Brooks, Bulls Gap, Tenn., Dale (Kathy) Brooks, Middlesboro, Mary (Leonard) Polly, Harrogate, Tenn., Steve (Mary Catherine) Brooks, Walton, Ky., Dane (Norma) Brooks, Sherveport, La., Troy (Crystal) Brooks, Wires Valley, Tenn., Debbie Brooks, Hulen, and Bebe Brooks, Harrogate, Tenn.; son-in-law, Marvin Stewart, Cincinnati, Ohio; 25 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, George Ingle, Daytona, Fla., Hazel Harmon, Spring Hill, Tenn., Dolly Brooks, ALexandria, La., Trolan Ingle, Newport, Tenn., and Roberta Brooks, Alexandria, La.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Blackmont Baptist Church with the Rev. David Howard and the Rev. Jeff Tingle presiding. Music will be by church singers.
Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Dale Brooks, Dane Brooks, Steve Brooks, Billy Joe Brooks, Troy Brooks and Marvin Stewart.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Blackmont Baptist Church.
