H. Myer Garner, 86, of Hustonville Street, died Friday at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Lexington.
Garner was a former state representative. When he was elected, he was the youngest state representative ever elected. He also served as commonwealth's attorney, district judge and county attorney. He also was a World War II veteran.
Born Oct. 8, 1911, in Mount Olive, he was a son of the late George P. and Myrtle Hatter Garner.
Survivors include a daughter, Georgia Meyersburg of Silver Springs, Md.; a brother, Marvin P. Garner of Lincolnville, Maine; and a granddaughter.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brock Woodall, Bill Clements, Johnny Beard, David Coffman, Ed Cundiff and Chester Edwards.
Honorary pallbearers are Casey County attorneys and judges.
