  Born ca 1822/23 in Tennessee, died early in 1863. Daughter of Morgan and Barbara BEALE Buck; wife of George W. Patrick.The story of Nancy's death: George was wounded in the Battle of Fayetteville, at Fayetteville, Arkansas, during the Civil War. Nancy rode a horse to Fayetteville but evidently didn't find him. Nancy died after returning home, either from the rain and cold or from measles. George went AWOL after he heard of her death, but was acquitted at his court marshal. At the time of Nancy's death, she had several young children under the age of 16 years of age. Nancy, as well as six of her children, are buried on their homestead. All seven graves are marked only with fieldstones.
