MOORE, PATSY JANE FINCHUM - of Strawberry Plains, went to be with the Lord on Christmas Day, December 25, 2009. She was a wonderful wife and loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a member of English Mountain Christian Church in Newport. She retired from The University of Tennessee Library where she thoroughly enjoyed assisting many UT students. She was preceded in death by parents Sam and Ruth Finchum. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Oake Moore; her three children, Pam Luketic and her husband Ken Luketic, Johnny Moore and his wife Susan Moore, and Laura Farmer; her sister Anna Bellamy; her brother Bill Finchum and sister-in-law Darlene Finchum; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; many wonderful family and church family friends, including Steve Farmer; Ben Cox; Pat and Ed Thompson; Harold, Sandy and Tanya Wise; and Pastor Rick and Marilyn Carr. The family would like to thank Dr. Gerald Mancebo and Janice Cox for the special friendship and care they've provided over the years and to St. Mary's Hospice staff for the loving care they've bestowed over the last several months. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 27, between 1:30 and 3:00 at English Mountain Christian Church in Newport. Funeral services will commence immediately afterwards with Pastor Rick Carr officiating and interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to individual donors' favorite charities.
