MCGEHEE, Frank Hartman, Clan No. 1795LM, died May I, 1995. He is survived by his
wife Jo Berta, Clan No. 2304ALM, a son, a daughter, two grandchildren and his brother.
FRANK HARTMAN McGEHEE
1925 - 1995
Frank Hartman McGehee, Clan No. 1795-LM, died May 1, 1995 in Natchez, Mississippi ,
from Parkinson's Disease and other complications. His parents were Annie Mae Hartman
and Prentis Troy McGehee. Besides his wife, he leaves two children, two grandchildren, a
brother George Troy McGehee, and several nieces.
He was born February 14, 1925 in Brookhaven, Mississippi, where he spent his youth and
received his education. He attended Texas A&M, graduating in 1950 in Petroleum Engineering.
In 1955 he married Jo Berta Parker and they moved to Natchez. He was a consulting
Petroleum Engineer for many years, working in Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and Alabama.
Frank was a charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Natchez, serving as
Trustee for many years, and played a large part in building a new sanctuary. In addition to
being a member of American Clan Gregor Society, he was a member of First Families of
Mississippi. He and Jo Berta donated a collection of Boehm Birds to Belhaven College in
Jackson, Mississippi. He served on the Council of American Clan Gregor Society 1988
1990.
Frank was proud of his Scottish heritage and enjoyed knowing many other MacGregors and
Magruders. One of the happiest times in his life was when the American Clan Gregor Society
held its 1986 Gathering in Natchez. He was Co-Chairman of that Gathering and he and
Jo Berta entertained the entire group in their home for a most enjoyable evening.
