Iona Jane Boling McDaniel – age 95 of Knoxville passed away Monday, January 28, 2019. She was baptized in the Holston River at age 14 and graduated Carter High School in 1943. Member of Roseberry Baptist Church. Retiree of Standard Knitting Mill and former co-owner of L&M Shoe Sales in Jefferson City, TN. She was past president Arminda Community Club and Young-at-Heart Seniors at Roseberry Baptist Church where she planned many trips and adventures for over 16 years. Preceded in death by spouse, John L. McDaniel; son, Darrell McDaniel; parents, Richard and Pearl Shular Boling; brothers, Amos, Doy, Lloyd, Monroe, Doan Boling; and sisters, Leona Oaks, Georgia and Trevena Boling, and Virginia Smith. Survived by daughter, Janice Burnette; grandchildren, Jason (April) Burnette, Ben (Carla Beth) Burnette, Christy Burnette, and Chase McDaniel; great grandchildren, Tyler, Carson, Cole, and Anna Burnette, Kaylan Owens Everhart; great great granddaughter, Brylee Everhart; sister, Wanda (David) Burkhart. Family would like to offer a special thank you to Maple Court for the love and care that they provided. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Bridges Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 7:00 PM with Rev. Mark Large officiating and Jimbo Duncan, soloist. The family will gather 1:45 PM on Sunday at Eastview Memorial Gardens for a 2:00 PM interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kaines Krusaders, 6216 Lonas Drive, Knoxville, TN 37907. Arrangements by Bridges Funeral Home.
