Obituary of Mrs. Bonnie Nobles

Bonnie Nobles, age 89 of Copperas Cove passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 1, 2019. She was born December 13, 1929 in Mullin, Texas to the late Claude and Annie Mae Russell. As a teenager she worked in a drug store in Lometa, Texas where she met Jesse Marvin Nobles. They married on May 28, 1947 and that began her life as a United States Army Officers wife. To this marriage came three daughters, Linda, Doris and Betty. Bonnie worked at Lea’s Dress Shop in Copperas Cove for the late Lea Ledger until her retirement after 20 years. While working at Lea’s she also was raising three grandchildren with Jesse. Bonnie was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Copperas Cove, where she taught the four-year-old Sunday school class for many years. She was a remarkable, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Bonnie was preceded in death by her loving husband Jesse Nobles and a daughter Doris Marie Nobles. She is survived by four daughters, Linda Eicher and her husband John, Betty Nobles, Julie Lovett and Jodie Nobles; a son, Trey Nobles and his wife Melissa; a grandson, John Eicher; nine great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She will be missed, but remembered with deep love, affection and a heartfelt gratitude for all she did for her family. The Nobles family will receive guest for a time of visitation from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Copperas Cove. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, October 5, 2019 also at the First Baptist Church in Copperas Cove, with Dr. Mark Kemp, Pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment services will follow in Killeen Memorial Park. Serving as Pallbearers will be Troy Key, William Key, Clifford Tidwell, Collin Smith, Skylar Smith and Kyle Shandick. For those who desire, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church, 300 West Avenue B., Copperas Cove, Texas 76522. Services have been entrusted to the care of Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove.
