OAK RIDGE, Tenn. - Devota Ashburn Craven, 65, passed away December 27, 1995, at Methodist Medical Center.
Born March 27, 1930 in Winston-Salem to Paul and Annie Victoria Hoots Ashburn, she was a member of the Oak Ridge Alliance Church, where her husband, by whom she is survived, is a retired pastor.
Mrs. Craven is survived by her husband, John E. Craven Sr. of Oak Ridge; sons, John E. Craven Jr. and wife, Leslie of Greensboro, Phil Craven and wife, Darlene of St. Simon Islands, Ga.; daughter, Jean McLuckey and husband, Scott of Oak Ridge; sister, June Welborn of Greensboro; nieces, Debbie Merritt, Elizabeth Meeks and great-nephew, Joshua Merritt, all of Greensboro; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral will be 8:30 p.m. tonight in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary in Oak Ridge, Tenn. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home, prior to the service.
