Elisha's Civil War Pvt Elisha Ogle a Union Soldier in Company H, 9th Regiment, Tennessee Cavalry Volunteers. He enrolled 1 Oct 1863 at Sevierville, Tennessee.
Bef Sept 1864 Pvt Elisha Ogle was held "Prisoner Of War" (See Record)
It has been determined from evidence before this War Dept that this soldier was captured by the enemy while on a pass from his command, and he is supposed to have been killed by them on, or about 7 September 1864
Elisha died in North Carolina where he had been taken by Rebels during the Civil War
