E. Hugh Yeates, 66, of Pearce/Sunsites, AZ died June 27, 2001 in Sunsites. He was born on September 13, 1934 in Glenn, Dickens County, Texas to H.I. "Skinny" and Alma Lee (Ethridge) Yeates. Hugh fanned and flew a crop duster in the Sulphur Springs Valley from 1967 until 1980 when he moved to Fruita, CO where he farmed and drove a truck until he moved Sunsites in 2000. He was a former member of the Willcox Elks Lodge #2131 and proudly served in the U.S. Anny. Survivors include his son D. Michael (Terri) Yeates of Glendale, AZ and a daughter Camie (Jeff) Overton of New River, AZ. Also surviving is his brother B.F. Yeates of Bryan, TX, his Aunts Pearl Dunlap and Sammy Ethridge both of Muleshoe, TX along with 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and numerous cousins. Private cremation was conducted at Westlawn Crematorium with memorial services held on Saturday, June 30, 2001 at 4:00 pm at Westlawn Chapel in Willcox, AZ. Preceding him in death was his parents. A memorial service will be held at Roaring Springs, TX at a later date. Services under the direction of Westlawn Chapel & Mortuary in Willcox, AZ."
