Alexander Lee McAdams, 91, will be buried Sunday following services at 3 p.m. at James-Coker-Peters Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. McAdams, a retired farmer-stockman, died at 8:45 p.m. Friday following a brief illness due to a heart attack.
The funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Cicero B. Fielder and burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be I.T Miller, Raymond Gray, Harold Clayton, Ellington Bush, Tom Warren and J.W. Smith.
Born in Lewisburg, Tenn., Dec. 2, 1865, e was the son of A.D. and Nancy A. Nelson McAdams. He came to Texas in 1881 and lived in the Floyd Community until 1912 when he moved to Greenville.
Mr. McAdams and Ruth Markham were married in 1895. She died in 1944. For the past five years he had been a resident at the Inglish Hotel.
He was a member of the Central Christian Church in Greenville and of the Masonic Lodge.
Mr. McAdams is survived by three daughters, Mrs. W.H. Dunn of Greenville; Mrs. Marie Dale of Dallas and Mrs. Cecil Cagle of Sherman; two grandsons, Everett D. Dale Jr. of Oklahoma City and Robert Lee Cagle of McKinney, and three great grandchildren.
