Mr. William E. "Dub" Connatser died on Thursday the 15 of September 2011. He was born on October 10, 1926 in Sevier County, Tennessee to Shirley Dixon and William Harrison Connatser. He was predeceased by his caring wife Hazel Dean Knight of fifty eight years. The oldest of six children he is predeceased by one sister, Eula Mae. He is survived by four brothers, Ralph Connatser, Frank Connatser, Herman Connatser and Coy Connatser. He was a devoted father to his three boys, Jimmy Ray Connatser (predeceased), Robert Joe Connatser and wife Sandra, William Connatser, Jr. and wife Debbie. He is survived by eight grandchildren Jamie Connatser, Jennifer Connatser and husband Dany Millikin, Leah Penny and husband Shaun ,Daniel Connatser, Jenna Connatser, Courtney Connatser, Will Connatser, Jeramie Connatser, Heather Gobin, Kellye Downing and husband Mike. He is also survived by great-grandchildren Sierra Connatser, Cassidy Connatser, Braden Patterson, Cailyn Penny, Asher Penny, Caden Fedora, Cooper Fedora, Harlie Downing and Macie Downing.
Dub worked as an accountant for H J Heinz for 27 years before going to work at Union Station Railroad as head timekeeper. He retired from there after 15 years of service. He coached Little League baseball in Bellaire and was active in his church for many years at First Baptist of Bellaire. He served as a deacon of the church, taught Sunday School and led various church activities. He was most recently a member of the West University Baptist Church.
In retirement Dub spent his time caring for grandchildren and following the Houston Astros.
Visitation will be at Earthman Funeral Home Bellaire Sunday September 18, 2011 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday morning September 19, 2011 at 10:30 am, also at Earthman Funeral Home in Bellaire. Internment will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
