Everage "Bud" Haislip, 90, of Belfast, Tenn., died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, at his residence.
Mr. Haislip was a native of the Delina Community of Marshall County and the son of the late Samuel Floyd and Jessie Mae Simmons Haislip. He was retired from Heil-Quaker Corporation and actively operated a cattle farm and private apple orchard until his death. He was a member of the Cane Creek Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brownie Ruth Jones Haislip; son, David Wayne Haislip; son-in-law, Larry Wayne Parr; sister, Kathleen Beatty; and brother, Alton Haislip.
He is survived by one daughter, Cathy Parr (Grant) Vaughn; five granddaughters, Cindy (Bill) Harrison of Pulaski, Julie (Keith) Lincoln, Rhonda Lackey, Susan (John) Clark, and Debby (Shawn) Bell, all of Murfreesboro; sister, Judy Eberts of Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, Kenneth Haislip of Nashville and Alfred Haislip of Lewisburg; daughter-in-law, Mary Haislip of Shelbyville; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and special companion, Callie Cat.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Nov. 16, from the chapel of London Funeral Home, followed by burial in Lone Oak Cemetery.
London Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
