Linda Josephine Justice Brantley, age 78, went home to be with Lord after a courageous fight with cancer on August 30, 2019.
She was a 1959 graduate of Everett High School. She worked at William Blount High School from 1987-2001. She attended Brantley’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church for 62 years. Throughout the years she was actively involved in the church. Linda touched the lives of anyone that she came in contact with and will be dearly missed. She enjoyed playing the piano, camping, shopping, traveling, playing with her grandchildren, and attending all of her grandchildren’s sporting, school, and church events.
She was preceded in death by her mother Addie Kidd Justice, father Herman “Bud” Justice, and sister-in-law Patricia “Pat” Justice.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years Daniel Brantley, daughter Angie (Brantley) and son-in-law Tim Stafford of Seymour, son Brian and daughter-in-law Belinda Brantley of Friendsville, granddaughter Renee and husband Thomas Woody of Knoxville, grandchildren Bethany and Todd Stafford, grandchildren Brianna and Aaron Brantley. Also survived by brother Charles “Mickey” Justice, sister Judy and brother-in-law Neil O’Neil, brother-in-law Dennis and sister-in-law Brenda Brantley, brother-in-law Truman and sister-in-law Judy Brantley all of Maryville,
The family would like to extend a huge thank you to UT Hospice Nurse Carissa Richmond and FirstLight Home Care Caregiver Donna Thomas.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00pm on Tuesday, September 03, 2019 in the Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 04, 2019 at Brantley’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church at 403 McCall Road, Maryville, TN 37802 with Rev. Brian Brantley and Elder Lawrence Adams officiating. Mrs. Brantley will lie in state prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00am. The Interment will follow at 1:00pm at Grandview Cemetery.
