Family residence 2713 Pindell Ave. Beloved husband of Mrs. Mary Helen Abel (nee Mattingly). Devoted father of Mrs. Cyril (Mary V) Shadowen, Mrs. John H. (Dorothy) Mittel, Jr., Sr. Mary Eugene, R.S.M., Mrs. William R. (Betty) Roberts, Mrs. William L. (Louise) Sharp, and Messrs. William G. of Lexington, Mass., James R. of Ravenswood, W. Va., and Joseph C. and Louis C. Abel of Tujunga, Calif. Loving brother of Mrs. Emma Johnson of Salem, Ohio and Mr. Elisha M. Abel. Also survived by twenty-two grandchildren.
