Michael Hugh Burroughs, age 77, of Madison, AL passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Crestwood Medical Center. He was born in Kelso, TN on May 3, 1938, son of the late Rev. R.E. Burroughs and Sue Solomon Burroughs. He was a member of University Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Hilliard of Madison, AL; daughters, Susan Burroughs of Kelso, TN and Dr. Sarah Burroughs Zingales (Anthony) of Savannah, GA; and sister, Diane Burroughs Freudenberger of Huntsville, AL. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the University Baptist Church in Huntsville, AL with Dr. Bobby Burt officiating and Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge. Visitation is Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Kelso Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the American Cancer Society or University Baptist Church.
