He was married about 1875 to Molly Roark (1856-1926), the daughter of -- Roark and -- (Hall) Roark. A retired farmer living on Connell Street in Goodlettsville, he was 90 years old and a widower when he died at home of "malignant liver" on August 15, 1942. Burial was the same day in Spring Hill Cemetery, Madison. Most of the above is from his Death Certificate, with Mrs Maude Jones [most likely his granddaughter Maude L (Chapman) Jones] of Goodlettsville as the informant.
