Weymouth BEDFORD Monday, Apr. 16, 2007 ©The Virginian-Pilot Juanita Burnette Weymouth, 92, formerly of Virginia Beach, passed away April 15, 2007, in the Carriage Hill Retirement Center. She was born Aug. 13, 1914, in Huddleston, Va., a daughter of the late Ellis Crawford Burnette and Quincy Bates Burnette. She was preceded in death by her six sisters and five brothers. She was retired from the supply center at the Norfolk Naval Base as a supervisor. She was a devoted and active member of Virginia Heights Baptist Church and the American Business Woman's Association. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte W. and Norman Corbett of Virginia Beach; two granddaughters and their husbands, Carol and Gary Hughes of Chesapeake and Cynthia and Dr. Charles Amory of Fredericksburg; and seven great-grandchildren, Whitney and Sarah Hughes, Charles, Ian, Lauren, Alex and Matthew Amory; and several nieces. A funeral will be conducted Tuesday at noon from the Updike Funeral Chapel, Huddleston, by the Rev. David Bayse. Interment will follow in the Leftwich Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
