He was born May 15, 1904, at Grassy Creek, the son of Kalup and Rebecca Robins James. On April 8, 1941, he married Virnia Holmes at Charleston. She survives. He was a member of Calvary Temple Church here and was owner and operator of James Snack Bar, retiring in 1960. Also surviving is a son, Dale James; a daughter, Mrs. Loretta Ditto; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Haire; and a granddaughter, Maria Ditto. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at Calvary Temple Church here. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Southeast Missourian
