William Beeson was the oldest of 12 children born to William and Mary (Mills) Beeson. The family were Quakers who migrated from Prince George Co., Virginia. William's birth is documented in U.S. Quaker Meeting records for Deep River, Guilford Co., NC. He married Jenny Patterson, daughter of Joseph Patterson, on Nov 1772. They were the parents of 5 known children: Sarah, Elizabeth, Rachel, Joseph, and Simmons. I have been unable to find any mention of his death in quaker records, but other records indicate they remained in Guilford Co., NC. Many people researching this family say he died on 6. February 1785 and that his wife, Jenny died about 1800. Compiled by Brenda Massie Tolle
