Elizabeth Jane Lee was the eldest child of Samuel Austin Lee and Mary Hackney, who migrated from Tennessee to Missouri ca. 1835. Elizabeth Jane Lee married Solomon Brient 12 Jan., 1843, in Polk County, and they were parents of two daughters, Sarah Orlena and Victoria Annis. Elizabeth Jane Brient married Morris Mitchell 19 Sep., 1882, in Morrisville, Polk County, Missouri, but this marriage did not last. The death date on her stone is 9 Aug., 1901, but family records show her date of death as 10 Dec., 1901.
