Ivan Jasper Humbolt, Sr., passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on March 30, 2018. Ivan was born to Clyde and Roberta Humbolt in Wichita, KS on June 4, 1946. There, he grew up with four siblings and graduated from Mulvane High School in 1964.
Ivan joined the U.S. Navy in 1965 where he served four years and was stationed in Norfolk, VA. Upon discharge, he and his father, Clyde, owned and maintained a trailer home park in Oklahoma City. Ivan married Jacqueline Iris Williams on June 22, 1970. Together they have four children, Clyde Ronald, LaRhonda Sue, Ivan Jasper, Jr. and Linda Jean. They resided in Moore, OK as their family grew. Ivan worked in construction for many years and his talents were spectacularly known throughout the metro area. Ivan retired from Krone Construction in December of 2016 to enjoy his family and grandchildren.
Ivan was an old soul who led his family with old school expectations. He drove with a stern mind and a soft heart. Respect, manners and responsibility are traits he strived to plant in those around him. Many members of extended family and friends were blessed by Ivan and Jackie’s generosity and expectations. They had a hand in positively guiding many children and teens.
Ivan leaves behind his wife, Jacqueline, of the home; children, Ronnie of Moore, LaRhonda of Moore, Ivan and wife Angela of Lexington and Linda and husband Chris of Checotah. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren who he loved dearly, Cody, Corie, Brooklyn, Clayton, Haley, Destiny, Faith and Sawyer. In addition, he leaves behind his siblings, Clyda Pendarvis, Raymond Humbolt, Lee Humbolt and Clydene Beane, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and “adopted” family, who he loved dearly.
Jackie would like to send special appreciation to Life Spring Home Health for the care and compassion they provided. A special heart felt thank you goes to the Krone family for all your love and support through the years. She would also like to express appreciation to the members and leaders of First Baptist Church of Lexington for continued love, prayers and support. Thank you to Norman Regional Hospital and a special thank you to Jessica, Ashley and Katie. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.
