Melba Caple Beaty, age 89, of Benton passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013. She was bornAugust 29, 1923 in Sardis. Melba was a housewife and a member of Mt. View Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elliott and Martha Jean Caple, husband, Bennie Beaty, sisters, Frances McDorman and Jean Baxley, grandson, Matthew Beaty.
Survivors, sons and daughters-in-law, Donald (Rhonda) Beaty, Benton; David Beaty, Sardis; Felton Beaty, Benton; Kenneth Beaty, Irvine, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda (Wayne) Fowler, Benton; brothers, Joel Caple, and Everett Caple both of Sardis; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday at Ashby's.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel with burial at MooreCemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons –in laws.
Honorary pallbearers will be Members of the Senior Adult Center.
