She was a native of Crawford county and was a member of the Christian church at Grantsburg. Survivors are the husband, Hardy Compton; two daughters, Mrs. Izetta Pearson of Los Angeles, Cal., and Mrs. Inez Woolen of Indianapolis; three sons, Curtis E. Compton, Earl Compton and Orville Compton, all of Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Cora Blevins of Princeton; a brother, John H. Scott of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the Conkle funeral home Burial will be in Floral Park cemetery. (published in The Indianapolis Star, Sunday, July 13, 1941, page 11)
