Hubert Elias Rampley, 76, and nine-year resident of Colton, died in his home Tuesday. He was a native of Canton, Ga. and lived 60 years in California. He was head custodian 12 years for the Torrance Unified School District before retirement. He belonged to the United Methodist Church of Colton. Survivors include his wife, Mae; a son, Deporte Skidmore of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; two daughters, Shirley Cheney of Fontana and Beverly Boggs of Anchorage, Alaska; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services Monday 11 a.m. United Methodist Church, Colton. Graveside services Monday 2:30 p.m. Green Hills Memorial Park, San Pedro.
