(See postcard on Sarah Evans memorial page) BIO: John Evans came to America around November 1882. He settled in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee. Six months later, he was joined by his wife and family. John (and other family members as well) were coal miners.They were not in Tennessee long, a few years, moving on to Russellville, Pope County Arkansas sometime around 1890 or 1891. John's death in 1899 was related to his work in the mines, but it is unclear if he died of "Black Lung" of not. His wife Sarah died one year later.
