DOLLIE MYRTLE JOHNSON, daughter of Albert and Sina Elizabeth Rowe Carlson, was born in Laclede County, Missouri, on July 9, 1917, and departed this life September 7, 2008, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-one years.
On November 9, 1984, she was united in marriage with Earl Johnson. They had an incredibly loving relationship. At the time of her death they had celebrated twenty-three wonderful years together.
Early in life, Dollie made a profession of faith in Christ and was baptized. She then united with Tabernacle Baptist Church where she remained an active and faithful member.
Dollie was a gifted seamstress and made many beautiful quilts. She also enjoyed crocheting and giving her creations to family and friends. Those who received one of these gifts will treasure it as a wonderful memory of the artist she was.
She most treasured the time spent and memories made with her loving family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dollie leaves to mourn her passing, her husband Earl; two sons, Kenneth Henson and his wife Bonnie of Kirkland, WA, and Carl Henson of Lebanon, MO; four step-daughters, Donna Dover of Tacoma, WA, Tina Hagen and her husband Blaise of Tucson, AZ, Nancy Woodard and her husband John of Moses Lake, WA, and Debra Larimore and her husband Lenny of Lebanon, MO; two brothers, Raymond Carlson, and Billy Carlson and his wife Luzene, all of Lebanon; one sister, Gladys Moerke of Grafton, N.D.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Oris Dale Henson, three brothers, Rev. Gussie Carlson, Elmer Carlson and Albert Carlson, three sisters, Margie Shore, Elsie Henson and Elvie Sowell.
A wonderful wife, loving mother, caring grandmother, cherished sister, and loyal friend, she will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
