Funeral services for Odie Erwin McAdams, aged 50 years, who died at his home in San Francisco, California, Sunday, August 1, were held at the Beasley Funeral Home Sunday, August 8, conducted by Allen Shaddy and Mr. George Freeman.
He was born and reared near Petersburg, but moved to Nashville twenty-eight years ago, later moving to California, where he was connected with the Southern Pacific Railroad.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Reese McAdams; one daughter, Miss Bessie Christine McAdams; and two sons, Carl Reese McAdams, of Nashville, and George Lee McAdams, of the U. S. Navy; four sisters, Mrs. E. H. King and Mrs. Sam Darnell, of Petersburg, and Miss Mayme McAdams and Miss Bessie McAdams, both of Nashville; two grandchildren, Judy Marie and Carl Reese McAdams, Jr.
Burial at Old Orchard Cemetery.
