- Polly Llewelyn Watson (Polly Gillum, Polly Sorrells - Maiden name), daughter of late William H. Sorrells and Ronnie Mae Sorrells, was born on September 15,1939 in Miami, Fl.
Polly quietly departed this life Thursday, December 29, 2016, surrounded by her family at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Robin Rimiller; husband, Lawrence David Gillum; husband, Douglas Watson; and her parents.
Mrs. Watson was an active member of the Jacksonville Beach Women's Garden Club in the early 1970s. Her hobbies included arts and crafts, chihuahuas, music and spending time with her friends and family.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her family: two children, Renee Thimas and David M. Gillum (fiancé, Kimberly Hulliger); two grandchildren, Sean Rimiller and Danielle Gutierrez, all from Jacksonville, Florida; brother and sister-in-law, William H. Sorrells, Jr. and Suzie Sorrells of Branford,Florida; and a host of family and friends.
A special thank you to the staff and caregivers at Taylor Care Center from the family.
A celebration of her life will be held this Saturday, 12/31/2016, at 2:00pm, at Polly's favorite local restaurant, Seafood Kitchen (31 Royal Palms Dr, Atlantic Beach, Fl, 32233).
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that a monetary donation be made in Polly's name to the Jacksonville Community Palliative: 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Fl, 32257 (CommunityPalliative.com).
