Cecil was born to Henry Lee and Lillie McDaniels at home in Argillite, Kentucky on May 28, 1948. His mother Lillie passed away after fighting cancer when he was two. He was raised by his namesake uncle and his aunt (mother’s sister) Cecil and Tillie Hackworth. He left home for work and moved to Florida and Virginia and then moved to Ohio where he met his first wife and mother of his sons Kerry, Brent and Erik. He would later divorce and become a widower after a second 12 year marriage and found his soulmate in Rosemary Howell they lived happily and he would find out he had cancer. He lived his life to the fullest and fought the hardest battle against cancer anyone ever has and lived his life and then left this world on his own terms. He left a legacy of laughter and love of music and his beloved Kentucky and children and grandchildren. He left a legacy of hard work that pays off in the end and last but not least the love of Jesus. The inscription on his stone that reads someday is from a song from Blue Highway called “Someday”. I implore you to hear it. The dash between the dates is all that matters at the end and his dash was full of love of life and everyone he came in contact with immediately felt it from him. He left shoes no man can ever fill again. Signed, his loving and humbled Son
