Ruby Young Tate, 89, of Stonebridge Drive, Fayetteville, died Wednesday morning, September 8, 2004, at SunBridge Health Care Center. She was a native of Lincoln County and the daughter of the late Adolphus and Annie Lee Clift Young. She was a former clerk for Ramada Inn and a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ginger Trentham of Fayetteville; son, Larry Tate of Miami, Florida; sisters, Jo Barnes of Fayetteville and Gloria Piess of Tullahoma; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday at Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Graham officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery beside her husband, James Samuel "Bill" Tate, who died in 1980.
