Joe Everette Finchum, Sr, age 79 of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012. He was of the Baptist faith and was employed by the Sevier County Board of Education for 8 years. Survivors include his wife Joan Finchum; children, Joe Finchum, Jr. and wife Karen, Mayme Ruth Finchum, David Ray Finchum, Sr. and wife Mandy, Marty Lee Finchum and wife Carol, Robbie Dean Finchum and wife Jana; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to family and friends for their love and support. Family and friends will meet 12 noon Monday at Woodlawn Cemetery for graveside service and interment. Rev. William Mays, Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Saturday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
