- Redd-Sarah Elizabeth Redd, baby girl of Brother G. L. Redd and Sister Jessie Redd, was born Nov. 10, 1914; died Nov. 12, 1915. Her little ways brought sweet memories to the home that will be lasting. But through the providence of God she was taken as one of his bright jewels to help adorn that home that Christ has gone to prepare. This providence of God presents to us a picture. On this side is life, with all of its failures, tears, heartaches and anxieties. On the other side is heaven, where God is, Christ and the holy angels are. Little Sarah is there, for Christ said, "Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven!" May we be able to bow in submission to the Lord's will and be able to say: "The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord." Then, while you cannot call her back, you may have the sweet assurance of going where she is after awhile. FRIEND (Petersburg, TN)
She does have a shared marker with her parents, who are buried in Old Orchard Cemetery, but Sarah is actually buried in the Foster Hollow Cemetery.
