Ruth Russell Eaton of Englewood, a retired educator for Englewood Public Schools, died Sept. 6 at Swedish Medical Center. She was 77.
A family memorial serice was held Sept. 12 in Georgetown.
She was born June 23, 1916, in the Szechwan province of China, the daughter of American Baptist missionaries. She was a active member of Colorado Ghost Town Club, Littleton Gem and Mineral Club, Native Plant Society, St Andrew Society, Columbine Genealogical and Historical Society, the Colorado Mycological Society, Order of the Eastern Star and the Colorado Education Association.
She is survived by two sons, Graham Russell, Englewood, and Pat Russell, Indianapolis; three sisters, Harriet-Jane Hoogendyke, Jean Brown and Dorothy Edson; and several grandchildren.
