Kathy Bailey Schlacht, Age 58, born in Dandridge, TN, raised in Knoxville, TN and a resident of Alpharetta, GA since 1998 went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 23, 2015.
Kathy was a loving wife, daughter and friend. She spent much of her career in banking and finance having worked for the FDIC, Fleet Finance, HomeBanc and most recently SunTrust Bank.
Kathy loved to travel, shop, and decorate. She had decorations for every holiday and made every occasion special. Anyone with the pleasure of knowing her knew the passion, love and joy with which she lived her life. She especially loved Christmas, glitter, confetti and “bling” (everything that sparkled, shined and brought smiles).
She is preceded in death by her father Glynn Bailey and brother Jeffrey Bailey of Knoxville, TN.
She is survived by her husband George R. Schlacht, her mother Otella (Tillie) Whaley, brother William Whaley, nieces Jenna and McKenzie Whaley, step-children Jennifer and David Schlacht and daughter-in-law Kristi.
We will be forever grateful for her kindness, love, and laughter. Come share in our love for Kathy at a celebration of her lifd at 4:00 PM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors in Roswell.
