On Wednesday, September 15, 2021, Michael David Dixon, loving husband, father of two sons, and grandfather to four grandchildren passed away at the age of 59.
Michael was born November 18, 1961, to David and Shirley Dixon in Knoxville, TN.
On May 24, 1979, he married his high school sweetheart, Zorita Jean Lickliter. Together they raised two sons Scott and Stephen Dixon, and grandfathered four grandchildren Kevin, Kayti, Emilie Dixon, and Austin Perry.
Michael aspired to make everyone around him laugh and have fun. He was always full of humor for friends, family, and especially strangers. Michael would always brighten your day even in the hardest moments.
Michael was preceded in death by his father David Dixon and grandson Austin Perry.
He is survived by his mother Shirley Dixon, his wife Zorita Dixon, his two sons Scott and Stephen Dixon, brother Donald Dixon, sisters Pam, Melissa, and Debra Dixon, grandchildren Kevin, Kayti, and Emilie Dixon, and several other nieces and nephews and cousins.
We will be holding a celebration of life to be held at, Christ United Methodist church, 7535 Maynardville Pike Knoxville, TN 37938 Saturday Oct. 9th 2pm.
