November 1789, Absalom Posey and Jane, his wife, of Edgefield County, South Carolina to Benjamin Hollingsworth* of Union County for 100 pounds tract on a branch in Cain Creek adjacent to David Hopkins' line said Hollingworth line to a new line made by Nehemiah Posey and Benjamin Posey, his father. Signed Absalom Posey. (Union County Deed Book D, page 336, 337)
In Union County, SC, in a deed dated Nov 1789 between Absalom Posey and Jane, his wife, to Benjamin Hollingsworth* is a statement that Nehemiah Posey and Benjamin Posey his father surveyed a new line. (Book D, page 336, 337) (This document was found by Mary Copeland)
