Bonnie Ruth Stevens July 7, 1927 Dec.16, 2005 Services: Wed., Dec. 21, 1:30 p.m. REJOICE! Bonnie went home to be with the Lord on December 16, 2005. Bonnie was born in Bonham, Texas 78 years ago to Albert and Bethina Martin. She moved to Bakersfield with her late husband, Clyde Hicks, in 1965, where they raised their four children. Bonnie is survived by her husband of 27 years, Darrell Stevens; sons, Jim Hicks, Don Hicks and his wife, Jill, Larry Stevens and his wife, Patty, David Stevens and his wife, Lynna; daughters, Linda Teasley, Shirley Wagner, Janie Hughes and her husband, Paul; 22 grandchildren and 20 great- grandchildren. She was a member of Valley Baptist Church and was an avid gardener. She loved her family, her flowers and God. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd., Wednesday, December 21st at 1:30 p.m. Reverend Phil Neighbors will officiate and interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday, (today) from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Mortuary.
