Gloria (Hewitt) Smith, 86, of Greer, SC, widow of Fred Edgar Smith, died Monday, April 9, 2012 at her home.
A native of North Carolina, daughter of the late Charles and Estelle (Johnson) Hewitt, she was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, James T. and Pam Henderson of Simpsonville; two daughters and son-in-law, Lana and Buck Staton of Landrum and Sandra Bridwell of Greer; three sisters, Sylvia Mason and Geraldine Parris both of Greer and Sue Poole of Virginia; six grandchildren, Jason Bridwell, Rhonda Bryant, Denise Cantrell, Tammy Thompson, James Henderson and Billy Henderson; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, conducted by Rev. Malcolm Lance.
