  Susannah Stone Farmer Birth 14 Apr 1785 Death 8 Jan 1835 (aged 49) Franklin County, Georgia, USA Burial Farmer-Stovall Cemetery Franklin County, Georgia, USA Memorial ID 18495581 Inscription: (What could be read) APRIL 14 1785 AND DECEASED JAN 8 1835 These inscribed gravestones (fieldstones) are very old, disintegrating, and coved in moss which makes them extremely hard to read & photograph. Note: According to the dates above, this should be the gravsite of Susan Farmer, 1st wife of Thomas Farmer. If her death date has been misread and the death year is actually 1895, then Susan was probably institutionalized, and hospital records will have to be found to prove this. It's thought that Susan's maiden name was Stone. (I don't think Susan would have been buried in this cemetery beside her husband if she & Thomas had been divorced). Thomas Farmer's 2nd wife, Cynthia, begins showing up by name in the 1850 U.S. Federal Census for Franklin Co., GA at age 38 & born in South Carolina. It's thought that Cynthia's maiden name was Ferguson. Cynthia & Thomas had no known issue.
