  BLUE BAYOU; THE FIRST HUNDRED YEARS, by Lucille Westbrook. Joseph Watson died "On the 17th day of November A. D. 1884 at his father's residence, J. H. Watson's. Joseph Watson...years...months...days. He obeyed the gospel on the night of the 13th of November, 1884, baptized by the hands of A. W. Reese. The Church of Blue Bayou met around his bed on the 16th, 3rd Lord's Day in November to commune with him. Died on the 17th, buried on the 19th at about 12 O'Clock with services by A. W. Reese and J. R. Jones. This Nov. 19th, 1884."
