Conestee
Margie Rugh Hellams, 80, of Conestee, wife of the late Felton "Jack" Hellams, died on Thursday, January 5, 2012.
Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Annie Mary and Henry Grover Thackston.
Mrs. Hellams retired from Union Carbide, was a member of Donaldson Church of God, and a volunteer at Hillcrest Hospital and United Ministries.
She is survived by a son, David Hellams and wife, Debbie, of Simpsonville; Two grandchildren. Elizabeth and Christopher Hellams of Simpsonville; a sister, Mary Lou Reid of Simpsonville; three brothers, Jewel Cletis, Uvil, and Douglas Thackston of Greenville; and aunt, Myrtle Owens of Seneca; and an uncle, Bobby Knight of Greenville.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Darrell and Gene Thackston.
The visitation will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 12:30 until 1:45 pm at Donaldson Chjurch of God, with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
