"Goodrich Ex-Teacher Dies in West"
"Daniel Koziol, 42, a former mathematics teacher in Goodrich, died Tuesday in Santa Barbara, Calif.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in San Raphael Catholic Church, Santa Barbara. Burial will be in Santa Barbara.
Mr. Koziol taught junior high mathematics and coached the boxing team at Goodrich from 1958 to 1962. He taught in Santa Barbara since moving there four years ago.
He attended Flint's St. Matthew Catholic School and was graduated from the University of Detroit.
Mr. Koziol was active in the Flint Golden Gloves, as a boxer and later as a coach.
He leaves his wife, Mary; two sons, Daniel Jr. and Steven, both at home; two daughters, Christine and Carol, both at home; his mother, Mrs. Theresa R. Koziol, Flint, and a grandmother, Mrs. Madeline Perowitz, Little Falls, Minn."
