Obituary for Mr. Johnny Ellis
Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Ellis, 84, of Henderson, will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 4, 2013 at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home chapel with Revs. Steve Fulton and Jim Conway officiating. Interment will follow at Crims Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home of Henderson.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m., Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the funeral home.
Mr. Ellis passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2013 at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. He was born September 11, 1929 in Rusk County to R.R. and Lena Pauline Ellis. Johnny worked as a Mail Carrier for the US Postal Service and was retired from the US Army Reserve.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Ellis; brothers, Noah Ellis, Bennie Loyd Ellis, and Richard Ellis; and sister, Lorene Williams.
Survivors include: sons, Rodney Ellis of Yantis, and Ricky Ellis and wife Sandie of McKinney; brother, Culley Spivey Ellis of Austin; former daughter-in-law, Sherrie Ellis; seven grandchildren, Chad Ellis, Brandi Pate, Joshua Ellis, Leslie Brandt, Eron Sawyer, Rachael Ellis, and Jane Ellis; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Chad Ellis, Joshua Ellis, Spencer Pate, Ryan Ellis, Mike Ellis, and Hughes Ellis. Honorary pallbearers are the members of Herschel's Coffee Club.
